17th November 2009. MBA students from Skyline Business School went for Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited visit at Ghaziabad. It was a pleasure to be there and have a first hand experience of the processed being employed by the American Multinational. We learnt about the beverage industry and Coke’s strategy to continue at the top. Coke had entered the market way back in 1993 and has long years of customer trust and awareness backing it. In order to sustain this faith Coke has done stupendous work to ensure that its manufacturing facilities are one of the best in the world. Ghaziabad is the largest manufacturing facility for Coke in India and covers an area of 80 acres. The plant manufactures more than 2 million units a day during peak season which extends from March- September. All the drinks under the coke stable are manufactured at Ghaziabad.

INDUSTRY VISIT AT “ YAKULT DANONE INDIA”
On the 17th sep’09, our batch of first semester went for an Industrial Visit to “YAKULT DANONE INDIA” production plant at SONEPAT. Dr. Juhi Upmanyu accompanied the students.Naved shah,first semester shares his experience.
“Yakult factory is located in Sonepat, about 50 km from the Gurgaon campus. We reached the plant at about 11am in the morning and was greeted by Ms.Charu Pandit, the Public Relations Officer of Yakult. She familiarized us with various products of Yakult and showed us picture of different YAKULT products, newspapers cuttings, picture of Bacteria, etc. In conference room we had a presentation. Then we had a plant visit where they showed us their production plant how the YAKULT drink is made."
HRM Summit 2009 - “Looking into the Future : HR's next 5 years Agenda"
Ten students of Skyline got an opportunity to attend the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) HRM Summit 2009 on 11 September 2009 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Gurgaon. The Theme for this year is “Looking into the Future : HR's next 5 years Agenda”.
Anjali Batra 3rd semester HR student shares her experience. “It was indeed a good experience to participate in such a seminar, where real life corporate experiences were discussed by experts from various organizations. The summit also deliberated on new stage of globalization where talent and brainpower are becoming the predominant currency. In the session titled HR’s Alignment to Business, the speakers panel comprised of Mr. Amit Bhatia CEO - Aspire Human Capital Management, Mr. Dhruv Shringi CEO - Yatra Online Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Vijay Rai - Group President of Lead Group. The speakers share their expectation on the role of HR, how it should remodel itself to alignment to business during the revival phase and how it should support the business on its road to growth. Human Resource & its Operational functions, has expanded significantly in the last few years.

MEGA HR-CONCLAVE 2009
Delhi Management association organized their annual seminar “Mega HR Conclave-2009” on 24th September 2009 in Hotel Radisson, Gurgaon. The theme of the seminar was “HR INTERVENTIONS AS A CATALYST TO FACE POST RECESSIONARY CHALLENGES”.
Gurpreet Sethi, 3rd Semester student participated in the conclave and shares her experience. “It was a great learning experience as we got the opportunity to participate in a forum where eminent speakers and industry experts shared their views on current and futuristic trends. In the first session, Mr. K.K.Sinha, Group Director – HR of Jindal Power & Steel Limited and Mr. R.S. Dabas Chief Human Resources Officer, JBM Group spoke on “Next generation organization HR practices: Combat flight in upsurge”.
